Thanks in large part to a National Endowment for the Arts grant, the AIGA Design Archives has been expanded to include more than 19,000 items, dating back to 1924.
Formal notice of board meeting September 19
The next AIGA board meeting will be held on September 19, at 10:00 a.m. Eastern in New York. The board will review the proposed budget for FY 2009 and discuss the future direction of the organization.
AIGA and The New York Times launch interactive piece on ballot design reformAIGA Design for Democracy contributed an editorial and interactive piece on NYTimes.com, titled “How Design Can Save Democracy.” This coverage follows two front-page articles on ballot design (in The New York Times and USA Today), enabled by AIGA’s efforts to demonstrate the value of design to society.
