Pipe Materials and
Engineering Properties
This course
covers current and new pipe materials used in buried municipal water
and waste water construction and renewal. This course will provide
infrastructure professionals with comprehensive knowledge and skills
on pipe materials, material properties, test methods, and
performance.
This
university level course is the first in a series of six that will
provide a foundation on which to build and advance your career in
underground infrastructure and will give you increased confidence
with which to handle new challenges using best practices.
Pipe Materials and Engineering Properties is offered through distance delivery over the internet. The first two lessons will start at 12:00 pm (noon) on Tuesday February 3 and Thursday February 5, 2009 and theresafter every Tuesday and Thursday for the following seven weeks.

Subcommittee Update
The HDD subcommittee
has begun revision of OPSS 450. The subcommittee has started reviewing and
hope to produce an updated version by the end of the year.
The next committee meeting will
be on October 21, 2008.

SSET Benchmarking program is being revitalized!
Sewer Technologies Inc., located in Port Perry, Ontario, will be taking delivery of the first DigiSewer Camera system in January 2008. This will be the first DigiSewer camera system in North America. Once the DigiSewer camera system becomes operational, CATT will organize a meeting at Joe Johnson Equipment in Barrie to see the new DigiSewer system, to meet Sewer Technologies Inc., and to discuss the revitalization of the SSET Benchmarking program.
