News System Activis 
Aujourd‘hui (2005), 2 millions de m2 de textiles ont été imprimés en numérique. 70% de l’impression numérique est imprimé en transfert (simplicité des process), dont 60% servent le segment de marché Sports & Loisirs avec émergence de besoins nouveaux sur les marchés de la décoration / maison. Les vitesses d’impression des machines numériques ont été multipliées par 4 en 2 ans. Les perspectives 2007 prévoient que ces données soient encore multipliées par 2.
Malgré toutes ces avancées, on constate que la demande des créateurs à recourir au numérique pour concrétiser leurs nombreuses idées est de + en + forte. En contrepartie, ils sont confrontés à de grandes difficultés à rencontrer les industriels possédant la technologie numérique et le savoir faire correspondant à faire aboutir leurs projets. Cela se complique encore lorsque ces créateurs tentent de rencontrer des distributeurs et acheteurs de produits développés grâce au numérique.
La nouvelle version NUMTEX 2007 en cours de réflexion devra palier à ce manque et faire de l’Alsace un véritable pôle de mise en relation des acteurs du marché, donneurs d’ordre, prescripteurs. NUMTEX 2007 veut mettre en avant le numérique comme un véritable moyen et non comme une fin en soit.
