Welcome to the Colorado Internet Cooperative The Colorado Internet Cooperative, a.k.a. "the Coop", isa member-owned Internet Service Provider for Colorado businesses. Forover 10 years, the Coop has been providing reliable, affordable,dedicated Internet services at cost and without resale restrictions. Since 1994, the Coop has grown tremendously. The Coophas provided Internet services to more than 40% of the ISPs in theDenver and Boulder metro area and most of the ISPs in the State. TheCoop has more than 100 members from national corporations toindependent consultants. The Coop has been a Tier 1 bandwidth aggregator withmore connectivity to national "backbones" than any other Colorado-basedISP. As the best connected ISP in Colorado, the Coop was the clearchoice for companies who need the reliability of a national providerbut still want the first-rate customer service that has made Coloradobusiness famous. As of spring 2004 the Coop no longer provides InternetServices. The Coop was founded to provide bandwidth aggregation becauselarge bandwidth was extremely expense for individual companies. Sincemost companies need bandwidth at different times they could share onelarge pipe with little impact on other members. So aggregatingthem made good sense and cost savings. Today large bandwidth pipes areless expensive and are in reach of all companies from many differentvendors. While aggregating bandwidth still makes sense there is no costsavings. The Coop still provides IP Address space for currentmembers. We are not accepting new membership.
