Euler Hermes zieht Deckung für Baugur-Lieferanten zurück 07.10.2008 Der Kreditversicherer Euler Hermes hat trotz Beschwichtigungsversuche von Baugur-Chef Gunnar Sigurdsson die Deckungen für Lieferanten verschiedener Unternehmen der isländischen Investment-Gruppe zurückgezogen. Sigurdsson bezeichnete den Rückzug von Euler Hermes als einen „Fehler“, der auf der falschen Annahme basiere, dass Baugur vom wackeligen isländischen Finanzsystem abhänge. Das Reykjaviker Unternehmen erzielt mit Firmen wie House of Fraser, Oasis, Karen Millen und Hamleys einen geschätzten Umsatz von 5 Mrd. Pfund (6,5 Mrd. Euro) in Großbritannien.

Das melden die Teilnehmer des TW-Testclubs, des teilnehmerstärksten Panels im deutschen Textileinzelhandel. Nach drastischen Umsatzrückgängen in den ersten beiden Wochen und sensationellen Steigerungen von plus 14% im September 2007 sind die Unternehmen mit diesem Ergebnis noch einmal glimpflich davon gekommen. Viele Unternehmen hatten zur Monatsmitte mit deutlichen schlechteren Umsätzen gerechnet. Zumal dem Monat im Vergleich zum Vorjahr ein Samstag fehlte. Ein zusätzlicher Verkaufstag konnte das kaum ausgleichen. Der aufgelaufene Jahresumsatz liegt per Ende September bei minus 4%. "Im Einzelhandel mit Textilien und Bekleidung hat sich die Geschäftslage drastisch verschlechtert. Die große Mehrheit der Unternehmen berichtete über Umsatzeinbrüche. Der Lagerdruck nahm wieder deutlich zu, so dass die Bestellungen weiter gekürzt wurden", heißt es im Konjunkturbericht des Münchner Instituts für Wirtschaftsforschung (ifo) für September.
