Our "Responding to the Times" segment featured
NABTP founders discussing the environment and issues that made
NABTP and member organizations necessary. While reviewing the
organization’s initial mission, they focused on the values they
believed we must preserve in these changing times.
The "Will to Change" included panelists from various sectors shared
the strategies, skills and circumstances that helped them shift
and sustain careers/lives in a volatile telecom environment.
The "What Change Demands of Us" forum allowed attendees to participate
in facilitated break-out sessions to begin the conversation about
values, the relevance of our mission, goals and strategies necessary
to create and build momentum for this new century.
The conference also included a "Got Broadband?" segment which
was a high energy, information-packed moderator-led panel examined
the issues with broadband deployment. The panel addressed issues
relating to questions like the following: Is a re-write of Telecom
96 in order? What is the network neutrality mandate? Will we see
choice, flexibility and quality services grow or diminish? Will
private interests trump public access? we heard diverse views
from industry leaders on what the fundamental issues of broadband
deployment are and how they affect how we earn, learn and live.

NABTP recognized that there was a need to identify the source of
real transformational power and "tap"into it accordingly in 2003.
Then in 2004, after being energized and enpowered the organization
began to deliver powerful, informative and timely messages to our
communities to help lift and augment economic and public policy
awareness. Now, in 2006 it's time to leverage skill sets and learn
how to identify those skills that can be transferred into income
