Tony Gillet: un homme, une passion!
Pilote moto et auto accompli, Tony Gillet a participé à de nombreuses
compétitions. Son expérience du sport mécanique, ainsi que ses qualités
d’ingénieur lui ont permis de transformer son rêve en réalité, en construisant
ses propres voitures de course.
Les grands moments de sa carrière sont résumés dans ce qui suit :
1968 : Transformation d’une 4CV Renault pour les rallyes provinciaux
1975 : Première victoire en prototype avec la Viaene
1979 : Champion de Belgique des courses de côtes en formule 2 Renault-Elf ex-Jabouille
1980 : - Champion de Belgique des courses de côtes en formule 2 Renault-Elf avec19
victoires en 19 courses.- Vainqueur de la coupe du roi au 24 heures de Spa-Francorchamps sur VW
1982 : Transformation de deux Toyota Jeeps pour le Paris-Dakar
1987 : Construction d’un prototype Mercedes aérodynamique en matériaux composite pour le Paris-Dakar vendu ensuite à AMG Stutggart
