Friday Yesterday the markets ran hard on light volume
and today gave much of that gain back also on light volume. Next
week most vacations end and volume should pick up. At some point
in the week the downside may also increase. Today only one stock
triggered a new buy with a good move up -
STSI.
Hope you all have a super long labor day weekend.
Thursday A big rally today as second quarter GDP
numbers were revised upward and oil was down a bit. We had
7
new buys form our watch list today - very nice.
THOR,
SMG,
PNX,
PCG,
ROCK,
CDNS
and
MFE.
Wednesday Again today another new low volume of the
year for the market though the Dow futures set up a very clean buy
that ran 100 points. We had a couple of tiny breaks from our watch
list but one did much better -
CELL.
Tuesday Yesterday was the lowest volume day of the year
and today was even lower but we had a
good day with two longs triggering and four shorts. The longs were:
SQNM
,
CRR,
while shorts
CX
,
NT
,
TSYS
and
MU.
Monday The lowest volume market day of the year so
cannot tell if the sell off means much or will it reverse back up as
easily. Many are on vacation as next Monday is a holiday so expect
more volatile moves. Today from the watch list one
long gapped up while one played well,
RHD
and one
short
WFMI
.
Friday Nice rally to end the week but low volume so may
top out early next week. Take it as it comes. We mentioned
YGE
in the morning audio update as
a possible long and it triggered and did very well.
Hope you have a great summer weekend.
Thursday August 21 Was a
slow end of summer day but gold continued to move. Our
GDX 60-minute
renko chart keeps on making a lot of profits. The short from near $50
had one whipsaw but the recent cover and go long signal was at about
$35 and it is now back over $38.
Tuesday August 12 Break outs today were
LSI,
CPHD and
WIND
.
Monday A really super day with the
dollar strong and oil weak the market continues and the bulls were
buying. It will not last forever so enjoy while it does and know the
a rally in oil and a fall in the dollar is not too far away.
SINA was the
one short today but we had
12 longs hit
their buy points and only one closed a bit under the buy price. The
longs were
PLT,
OFC,
NWY,
KOPN,
INTU,
IRF,
HGSI,
FNFG,
DHR,
CPF,
CTB and
RNT.
This one hit both buy points today!
Friday The rally today was super
if you were long the futures or index ETFs and many sectors except
oil or metals, solars etc. We had
5 new buys
from out watch list - nice day
ARRY,
EVSO,
SKYW,
SNA and
UAUA.
Have a great weekend!
Thursday The markets pulled back
today - even biotech which have been so strong for well over a
month. Remain careful and remember all the nice UltraShort ETFs when
needed to preserve capital or make a profit. We had two new longs
today and one short.
CMVT and
DTG long
while
GXP short.
Wednesday The markets hung tough
and the Nasdaq 100 plus Semis made good gains. The Dow closed
right at resistance as the video talks of on today. We had 5
more hit our buy points today -
ZZ,
SUN,
JBL,
MYL
and
NTCT while
CMED and
KNDL gapped
up on the open.
Tuesday Super day all around. Al
the futures hit buy points and ran very hard making great profits.
And from our watch list we had
9 new buys -
amazing day. These were the new buys today -
KG, CRME,
CRXX,
CPWR,
EWBC,
EURX,
MOH,
PNC,
WMT
and UVV.
Monday Rough day for a lot of
stocks today - especially commodities. A good Dow futures set up
though and
STEC gapped up but closed at the original buy area so worth
still watching. A new short was
XOM t oil
company. FOMC announced interest rates tomorrow afternoon.
Friday Rather a flat day
after a larger pullback part of the day. Small caps showed the most
strength. We had a few new buys today.
AM,
EGMI and
XRIT.
Have a great summer weekend.
Thursday The markets reversed
again today I guess because of poor GDP numbers and on job worries.
Those numbers will be out on Friday. From our watch list though we
had
6 new buys
DELL,
PMTI,
JNY,
HRB,
KNDL
and IAG,
Wednesday A continuation market
move from yesterday with perhaps some reasons or maybe window
dressing again. Regardless of why it was a very good day and we
8 new
watch list buys
MNKD,
NSTC,
ACV,
VISN,
MXWL,
STRA,
FRED, and
HNZ.
Tuesday Very nice turn-around-Tuesday
as all indices triggered buys for ETFs or futures traders and gave
significant gains. We were looking for some window dressing and this
may have been it in action.
Monday The indices are testing the
recent lows on light summer volume but we may see the window
dressers come in before the end of the week. One of our new watch
list buys today
USS
ran up 45% intra day -- good and we also had.
OFI.
Friday Only a market consolidation
day though the Russell 2000 bounced at its 50-day EMA. Next week
will end the month so perhaps some window dressing to add to the
gains. Have a great summer weekend.
Thursday We were prepared for shorting the markets today as per yesterday's
comments and video and it paid off super. If you do not have a
futures trading account you are missing some very nice set ups that
are paying well. Use the link above to open a free simulated account
to try it out.
Wednesday Was a consolidation day
for the markets and we are watching in case market shorts trigger
and oil makes a bounce. From the watch list another great day with
9 more
hitting their buy points..
ADS,
RATE,
CHL,
DWA,
GNK,
GE,
HGSI,
PFE,
QLTY.
Amazing.
Tuesday A really super day. If you
caught the e-mini pullbacks in the morning as they bounced at
support it was great but if not they consolidated all day which
makes for a great break out that happened in the last hour - the
best time and it was very profitable. The watch list stuck gold as
we had
10 new buys -
DCO,
GENZ,
HA,
IVGN,
INP,
NDSN,
CIR,
HUBG,
SYNA and
PTEC.
Here are two of them.
Monday A market consolidation day
thought the Russell 2000 made some headway. We did not have
much new action -Was not a big day today
which is
CTL,
was a new long and a couple of other made brief moves but settled
back to break out levels.
Friday Was not a big day today
which is good and some Nasdaq pullback was ok. Next week we have
many earnings reports so it may shake things up again. Today we had
two new long entries.
AVR and
PARL.
Have a great weekend!
Thursday The market made a great
2-day run and as usual on the bounces that finally take, they run
much to fast so we could use a stiff retrace - maybe half the gains. Today we had 5 new stocks hit their buy points and all
closed up -
SLE.
BLUD,
ICLR,
CATY and
AMSF while we hand one new short -
HAL.
This CATY
was up over
40%
intra day.
Wednesday We have our very typical
bar bounce started and this is what is nice about the long drop in
the markets. If you play the rallies, a few are too early and your
gains may not be great but then a day like this comes and as it
moves people cannot stand to be left out and you make excellent
profits on your ETFs and futures. We also had
3 new break
out plays from the each list.
WTSLA,
CRMT and
ALKS.
Tuesday Big market swing as all
looking for a bottom to trade. Really good day from the watch list with
6 new longs -
EXEL,
GIS,
KGC,
LNCR,
PDA and
SFD with one
short
FNFG. Many
keep going in the direction of the original trade.
Monday It was a pretty weak day
for the markets at about twice the number of decliners to advancers.
From our watch list though today
we had 3 new longs -
AEM,
ASA and
RBN plus 3
new shorts -
HBAN,
NYT and
ORCL.
Friday Some interesting dramatics
today at least for the Dow as it dropped under 11,000 but then
rallied up to the profit area at which time all those who were
trapped on the gap down morning seemed to have decided to cash out
for the weekend and it dropped back down. Meanwhile we had a good day
with a new long that did well plus four shorts. Gold stock
ABX
gapped up
and we had another new long
FFIV
the
other 4 were shorts today -
KSS
,
PETM
,
THOR
and
TRMB
.
The VIX finally is making a move over the
broken trend line as it seems many are all waiting for it to go back
over 30 to signify a tradable bottom. That may or may not need to
happen - but now it is a weekend so please enjoy it!
Thursday The market held its own
and gained a bit. We have several biotech stocks that have done well
for the last month or two and a couple added nicely to gains today.
A new non biotech was CEDC.
One of the bios is MYGN
and it shot up again.
MYGN
Wednesday The reversal today was
not a good sign for the longs and this time the recent lows may not
hold. Still it is excellent for futures trading and several of our
shorts keep adding profits. Plus our biotech selection still is
holding up well.
Tuesday Turn-around-Tuesday and a
really super day. Not only did the indices all hit buy points and
give excellent gains but our watch list was on the money with 3 just
added yesterday. We had
EBS,
EZPW,
KND
and
WAT long
while
MEE was a new
short.
http://storagemart.stocktiger.com/
Monday No big fireworks today but
a late day buy of the Dow or other futures made for a nice quick
move up as it broke from congestion. We had 4 watch list trades -
VVUS and
HALO long
while
HW
and JAH
short.
Thursday Not much worth mentioning
from today's action as it was low volume in front of weekend. Part
of trading is periods of great activity and some of doing less and
booking fast profits as they come. That was like today. We hope all
enjoy a long weekend - in the USA or outside of it - Happy
Independence!
Wednesday The Dow gave back most
of yesterday's gains while other indices made fresh lows as oil made
new highs. However we had a good day with
3 new longs
and one short.
VRTX,
MYGN,,
BABY
were longs and the short
CLWR.
Tuesday The market dipped to
trigger stops and that made a good set up to rally back to the day's
highs. A super way to start the new month with
7 new longs
triggering -
EGO,
WAT,
FINL,
CELG,
(second spot)
VPHM,
SSRI, and
SLW
a new short was
FALC.
Monday The financials seemed to
lead the market lower but the Nasdaq was the biggest loser But for
our watch list a
good way to end the month as we had
5 new longs
CELG,
CNEH,
KG,
OPIP and
UXG while
ALGT was the new short.
Thanks to prostreet in the chat room for this
6-month monthly chart of the Dow - interesting chart.
Friday The market still pulled
back but we enjoyed an excellent day. From the watch list we had
3 new long
trades - ABAT,
USO,
and
SDTH
plus
2
new shorts -
NUAN
and
ABAX. Have
a great weekend and next week we will get a rally. Look how
different these two were - only the last letter is changed....nice
profits on both.
Thursday The market is in oversold
territory but today the shorts worked out well-- From the watch list
we had one new long and one short -- Long
FLO and short
HLTH.
Wednesday The market advanced a
bit during the day but the FOMC statement did nothing to help. If
they should say what we all know that inflation is higher than
official figures it would raise the dollar and lower oil and help
the market. New trades this week as we were out 1 1/2 days -
AMGN,
SWSI,
ADTN and s a
short was
MSTR.
Friday Another big pullback day in
the market so very glad we keep booking partial profits on each
trade and setting stops to protect them. An amazing volume day with
PLTG
as it was exactly on target for the first level by hitting $0.17 for
a 100% gain since the 8 cent base. Hopefully it can consolidate a
while to build a good base again for the move during the remainder
of the year. This is the first day of summer so please enjoy
your weekend!
Thursday Bland market but still
profitable.
XIDE was a long from the watch list
and
PLTG is one
we follow. Last time this based around 8 cents and went up
200% so
we are thinking it may repeat this again. So far up about
50% and
today it had very heavy volume as company is making more money by
adding additional wells.
Wednesday Nice day for trades. The
Dow has been weak trying to find a bottom but the S&P 400 Mid Caps
have done much better.
Today we had great success with
TGC,
KOG and
MPET
long and went short LLY
and       ');
